Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO is the largest private business-school in Russia.

Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO is the largest private business-school in Russia. It was founded in 2006. It is a joint project of the representatives of Russian and International business enterprising, which united their efforts to design an educational institution of a new generation. The founders of the business – school are the owners of 18 largest Russian and foreign companies as well as individual persons. All of them are leaders in their branches: oil and gas industry, metallurgy, energetics, investments, banking, insurance. The school works in accordance with the principals of private-public partnership. The representative of the Government of the Russian Federation Medvedev D.A. is the Chairman of the International Advisory Board of the business-schools SKOLKOVO, but the financing of the school is effected by means of the current business activity and the funds of the private investors.
The community of the business-school SKOLKOVO unites the largest Russian and International corporations, the representatives of medium and small business, government authorities which believe that an entrepreneurial approach and an active life position will provide successful development of the economics in the country and in the world. The campus was built «for growth». Now the school occupies only 40% of the total area , the rest areas are empty or rented. Nevertheless Moscow campus is one of the biggest (80 000 sq/m.), expensive ($250 mln) and an original one.
